Joshua Jones exclusive report: Manchester United (MANCHESTER UNITED) sent scouts to watch Brescia’s teenage midfielder Sandro Tonali again last week.

The Italian was called the new Andrea Pirlo in his hometown for his playing and hairstyle – his performance in the midfield attracted the attention of many of Europe’s top athletes.

Manchester United’s boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, received a lively report, and their Italian spy watched him play 90 minutes in a goalless match with Florence last Monday.

The Red Devils are looking for creative young talent, and Tonali is likely to pay a huge price to steal some of their competitors.

An old Trafford source told Sun Sports: “We already know Tunelli for 18 months, but our Italian scouts say he has risen to a new level, Manchester United needs to get involved – he may be a generation.”

The 19-year-old Tonali broke into the Brescia first team in the 2017/18 season and played a key role in his promotion to Serie A last season.
